Our Approach
We originate hydrocarbons mainly in Nigeria in parallel to installing "Buffers" for renewable energy in Germany. We believe that decarbonized energy systems need "Buffers" for storage and distribution of excess energy generated by millions of consumers. We refer to "Buffers" as smart decentralized physical installations, which produce, store and coordinate the flow of energy between consumers.
The buffers we are in the process of installing in Germany have two functions. On the one hand they transfer excess energy generated by consumers with solar panels to consumers, who do not generate power themselves. On the other hand, buffers store excess energy produced by consumers, if there is no demand for energy at the moment of its generation. Stored energy is released from buffers to consumers, when it is needed at a later point of time.
As a result of these functionalities, consumers only need hydrocarbons as "back-up-fuel", if buffers are empty. Our buffers aim at enabling consumers to prioritize renewable energy and only using centralized hydrocarbon-based energy systems, if there is no renewable energy available in buffers.
We even plan one step further. We are preparing the replacement of hydrocarbons used as "back-up-fuel" through regenerative fuels by 2030. In this regard we are involved in creating biofuel plants in areas with excess land mass for agriculture.
